The purpose of Georgia's Old Capital Society, Inc. (GOCMS) is to create and maintain museums which shall identify, collect, interpret, preserve, and communicate the cultural history of the Milledgeville/Baldwin County area and its environs. The Society is a private, non-profit organization committed to the education and enjoyment of the public. GOCMS will network with other museums and institutions having similar public education goals.
